78F - 71% humidity at 5:30 PM. Only hit 91 today but it was a muggy one.

It half assed sprinkled for about fifteen minutes a while ago but they are tracking a storm that might hit us.

Dumping a lot of rain and a slower moving storm.

If you don't hear from me tonight, it will be for the usual reason: 10 drops of rain and the power goes out.

It's so easy to blow up your problems...
It's so easy to play up your breakdown...
It's so easy to fly through a window...
It's so easy to fool with the sound...

Woke up to sound of distant thunder, and it's been lightly raining but long enough to get the ground good and soaked but not soggy.

The weather guy said at least for now, he didn't think the storms would be getting severe but there would still be scattered thunderstorms.

It's been an evening of on and off really light rain. Nothing spectacular but rain is rain.

It's too damned hot! Sunshine, no clouds, very little breeze (unusual). Temperature is around 24C (75F); humidity 72%. Some parts of this little island almost reached 30C yesterday. That's unnatural. We're not built for that, us poor pale skinned Irish.

I'll trade you for the 95F/35C & humidity of 31% we have right now.

According to the weather girl this morning, it'll rain this evening but it might not be on our lawn/neighborhood/city.

Some more reasons for the desert folk to laugh at us:

We officially have a "heatwave" - defined as 5 days with max temps of 25C (77F)
There's more - we also have yellow and orange "high temperature" warnings - Orange is max temps reaching 30C (86F) and nightime temp not falling below 20C (68F).
Britain also has Orange Heat warnings.

In our defence, housing here is built with heating in mind, conserving heat, insulation, etc. There is no consideration given to cooling - no shutters, no air conditioning, etc.

On the plus side, we are promised a little bit of rain at the weekend.

We got a decent amount of light rain late last night/early this morning, or so I heard because I slept through it.

If no one hears from me the next few days it might be because I floated away.

Technically we're under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for a couple more hours, but it's just been normal raining so far.
