    Oh, and...

I hope you are quite comfortable.

Today will be hot, followed by more days of hot. I might as well get used to it.

In about 15 minutes, the swamp cooler will get turned on until maybe 1 or 2, then the regular AC until about 6 or so, then back to the swamp.

I'm glad Hubby will be coming home to make more money to pay these future electric bills.

Just warm for Frosty but record setting for us here. It's shop time, Once again insulation and refrig. a/c there is the best thing I've done lately
Over at mom's I can adjust the swamp cooler for maximum effect for where I'm working, so it'll be ok there unless humidity becomes just too high.

I wonder how people in 1896 dealt with that type of heat?

Perhaps some of those ye olde blocks of ice which they move
    around with those big tongs.

People were tougher then; My elementary - primary - school had no air conditioning, being closed in the summer it wasn't needed.
I live 1 1/2 blocks away from this school, I go there to vote, and each classroom now has a window replaced by a swamp cooler.

    Pussies.

We hit 113º at the Scottsdale Airpark. Luckily we're far enough out of the heat island that it's only 95º at 2200.

But fuck me backwards if it isn't gonna top 115 all this week. And we're not headed to Napa until July 5th!

Bill, temps are one time I'm never sad that you've beaten us.

I may or may not have mentioned this but a friend was at the Mayo clinic up there (new kidney) a couple months back and asked me if we ever had spring here.

He's supposed to come back in August. Poor guy. He just thinks it's hot.

He did seem to find a cab that would take him to a dispensary when he was here, which being a Texan, he'll never see one there.

Texan in a cab? That's good news, because I have unilaterally decided that Texas snowbirds are the worst snowbird drivers we get.

    In order of shittiness:

    1. Texas
    2. Nevada
    3. Iowa
    4. Illinois
    5. Idaho

I would say California and Colorado are tied for being the best (but they still suck). I can only attribute that to a fear of driving off a cliff and plunging to your death to pull any stupid shit. But Texans and their big ass Tahoes and F-245,000s, and shit with like 7 wheels, fuck them.
