We finally bought the 14lb bag of kitty food.

It's either four 3.15lb bags at almost $4 or one 14lb bag for $10.

Today was weird as I fed them early but my neighbor's grandchildren showed up (with the usual running around and screaming) and the cat/kitties split for the day without much eating
so the other stray cats who usually try to eat the food and get their asses handed to them by Mama kitty had a good day.

She and the kitties are back tonight so occasionally I hear her having to show one of the other strays who's boss again.
Oddly enough, even though she's smallish and absolutely adorable, she rules the roost around here.

    Hell hath no fury...

Oops, I meant $4 each on those smaller kitty food 3.15lb bags.
Otherwise that would be a really great deal.

We only bought the big bag because there are 5 of them (Mama and 4 kitties).

The market will run until the first week of January.
They are proud that they are the first christmas market in whole Germany that opens so early.

A columnist in the Irish Times described going to a large (upmarket) department store last week for a coffee. But, on hearing Christmas music, he reversed and went somewhere else. Early November is a bit early for all the Christmas stuff, isn't it? Mid December is fine.

On November 1st, I went to Walmart and the idiots were fighting over half price Halloween candy in the front of the store and the back of the store was all Christmas already.

On a personal note, we are taking the upcoming holidays especially hard as it's going to be the first ones without the Mother in law.
I was flipping through the channels the other night and noticed that the Hallmark Movie Channel is showing 24/7 holiday movies until after Christmas again
and even though I ended up hating them after a while, she sure did love those movies and would have it on all day, every day.

We decided that we are going to make a donation in her name to the humane society here.
