    No one here in Germany can give his/her vote directly to Merkel.
    Our voting system is different to the one in the USA.
    We can give our vote only to a certain party and if this party will win the majority of votes than they can determine a person who will get the job of the German Chancellor.

    BTW Merkel got only 33% of the votes last year,that means that 67% has voted against her !

    those numbers are going up and up in a heartbeat - who knew the german electorate was so fickle?

    No.Her poll ratings are going down and down.

    But a poll is meaningless...according to them, both Al Gore & Hillary Clinton should have been President.

    You are right, 76 of 100 people I asked said that polls were a load of rubbish.
