I just bought something I've wanted for a looong time; a halfway decent bluetooth speaker, a Bugani M118.

I use it a BT speaker extensively, and this one is a whole new level of sound, it's freaking killer.

Ha, this thing goes unbelievably loud, battery lasts forever and it will even charge my cell phone. I can hear stuff that I couldn't before because my old speaker is, apparently, crap. The distant thunderstorm sound I use to fall asleep has taken on new definition and is amazing.

I just got my Jackery power station and it'll charge the speaker in turn np, I'll try out the solar panel next.
First baby steps on the way to perhaps ultimately do my own solar/battery home so it doesn't cost $40,000 and take 35 years to pay for itself, and be free of 'the grid'

I've decided to put this here.

My mother, in hospice care at a nursing home, has been uncommunicative for weeks now. I, because of covid rules, cannot visit her. We are in lockdown.
In pain now, she is on morphine. Her face is mottled and her breathing is very rapid.
