Don't update Firefox (Unless you want to, of course)

I updated to 57 and lost most of my extensions and themes. They're calling it Firefox Quantum now.
I had to rollback to 56.2 & block updates.

    Code:
    https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/quantum
I had about 4 extensions left after the move. It blocked:

    DownThemAll
    VideoDownloadHelper
    Greasemonkey
    The Mega Addon
    DownloadStatusBar and a few others

I don't care how faster it is if all of my toys are disabled.
My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

It seems I was wrong about Greasemonkey, that's just a new backwards incompatible update
but it seems any extension or theme I had with a LEGACY tag on it was shut down and couldn't be reactivated.
    It even disabled NoScript.

For anyone else: Don't forget to check and make sure you don't have automatic updates checked.

Ooops, I meant I rolled back to 56.2

you can find all the old versions of FF here:

    Code:
    https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/
    56.2 (win32) is here:

    Code:
    https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/56.0.2/
I'd recommend the setup one and win32 and en-US for us yanks.
It's what I used and I seem to be back to normal surfing levels

Same here, rolled back to 56.02 the 64 bit version. Greasemonkey worked with the new one but the link checker and another addon I had went flooey.

I use the 32 version because when I tried the 64 bit version a while back, I had that problem where I couldn't upload to imagebam unless I used the basic upload.

Hmm, that's strange. Never had a problem using multiupload with the 64 bit version

I could have sworn you and I had this conversation before but I can't find any trace of it.

My FF wouldn't even let me use the multi upload over at imagebam and I'd noticed that for some strange reason my FF had switched from 32 to 64
and when I switched back to 32, it started working right again and I haven't had the problem again.

I think I was still on win 7 on the old desktop.

Yeah, I seem to remember that too. I think it had something to do with older systems. Some of them didn't like the 64 bit version on Win 7.

BTW: I had to go back and grab Greasemonkey 3.17 because as you said 4.0 (which apparently stealth installed when I updated) killed my link checkers.

    Code:
