Police arrest man who commandeered lawnmower.

    http://www.couriernews.com/view/full...tance=top_news

A Russellville resident called police Tuesday when friendly landscaping advice turned sour. A man took his neighbor’s lawn mower by force and proceeded to give instructions on how to use the device properly.

Billy Norton appeared in bond hearings Wednesday at the Pope County Detention Center, where District Judge Don Bourne set Norton’s bail at $5,000. He is required to appear in Pope County Circuit Court on April 15.

According to a Russellville Police Department (RPD) report, officers responded to a call from the alleged victim who claimed she was threatened by a neighbor near West Fourth Street.

Norton noticed his neighbor was supposedly mowing her lawn incorrectly. He aggressively insisted that she allow him to mow the lawn. The neighbor demanded Norton leave her property.

When police arrived, Norton ignored officers, walked to his house and went inside.

Officers approached Norton’s house and requested to speak with him, but he shouted disparaging remarks at police and threatened to sic his dog on them.

The report stated officers heard Norton command his dog to “Get’em, killer,” and police drew their guns in preparation to shoot and stop the dog from attacking them, but the dog ran away.

Norton told the alleged victim he would get her for calling the police and added she would regret calling the police.

The report stated Norton appeared to be intoxicated. Court documents showed Norton has a history of terroristic threatening and public intoxication.

Norton eventually cooperated with police and was taken into custody for alleged terroristic threatening and aggravated assault.

Teen 18-wheeler thief tells police he was running from zombies.

A 19-year-old man who allegedly stole and then crashed an 18-wheeler in California on Sunday told police he was being chased by “zombies,” according to published reports.

The wreck that resulted injured seven people, police told The Associated Press. It’s not clear why Tennessee resident Jerimiah Hartline allegedly stole the truck, which was swiped from a nearby weigh station on Interstate 15.

As the teen allegedly sped north on I-15, he swiped several vehicles, which a police spokesperson later said was indicative of his visions of zombies “clinging to the truck,” which he was trying to shake off.

Once the truck was overturned, blocking the whole highway, Hartline allegedly jumped out and ran to a nearby minivan, demanding a ride from the driver. The Press-Enterprise reported that instead of ferrying him away from the scene, the driver and bystanders put the teen under citizens’ arrest and kept him there until police arrived.

The driver of the truck, 51-year-old Daniel Martinez, eventually told police that he’d given Hartline a ride from Tennessee, although he claimed that he didn’t realize the young man was on board for the first 100 miles of his journey ferrying strawberries from San Diego to Maryland. When he stopped at a weigh station and stepped out of the cab, Hartline is said to have simply driven away.

It is not clear if Hartline was under the influence of any drugs.

It’s Always Deer Season at Walmart

In November, Arcangelo Bianco Jr., 40, who had just gone shopping in the store in Burrell Township, Penn., reportedly decided that a 10-point white-tailed deer running across his path was just too good a target to pass up: he got out of his truck in the parking lot and starting shooting at it with his handgun.

He apparently hit the buck, which he then followed across a nearby highway to bag. Meanwhile, other shoppers in the parking lot called 911 to report a man was shooting a gun in the Walmart parking lot.

Bianco was charged in March with the misdemeanor of reckless endangerment as well as several hunting violations. A preliminary hearing will be held for Bianco in May.

What's wrong with them? I guess it's mostly ignorance and they don't mean any harm by it..

In 20 generations or so it might be funny, but not while I would have liked to know my uncle who died in Belgium in 1944 when he was 18.

Especially since if Hitler would have won, they'd have probably ended up being purged by the great Aryan nation as being genetically inferior.

BTW: I'm not trying to start anything except a history lesson.
