    I'm getting a steady 150kbps with k2s as a free user.
Can't believe I just said something good about them, maybe I need to re-examine my life...

Not all of them do that.

When I use them, mine alternates between 50-150kbps but they usually tell you what you are going to get first.
Occasionally it says I'm going to get 150kbps and I get only 50, and sometimes it's the other way.
Same with their sister site fboom.

Still not the worst hosts in the world.
My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

If 1fichier really wants to stay in business, someone should tell them to get Paysafecard working for the US...

If I post something that is Exclusive to Broken, I'll hotlink the file for a couple of days so everyone here can get it easily.

I've got some stuff I've been meaning to post and I may as well use my credits for the people here.

Hmmm. I lost about 6GB of traffic yesterday so I'll have to keep an eye on it.

I did download about that much yesterday so I hope they aren't charging me my own CDN credits to download stuff.
I know they have that box to check but I always thought it was for the registered users when they get their free 10GB.
I've always left it unchecked. (I asked this same question on their twitter just now)

Some kind soul is putting up the Soprano seasons in 720p @x265 and I'm downloading the 3rd season (out of the 4 that he's done already) right now.

They won't use your credits if you have a premium account for downloads even if the box is checked.

As far as Skrill. they are an online wallet service that you can use to purchase. They will transfer funds from a credit card and even Paysafecard and allow you to buy a premium account. It even seems to be available here in the US and they have a US presence in addition to the UK.

That's what their twitter guy said but I don't ever remember ever going through 6GB in a day.
Yesterday was 2GB and that's usually the norm. I guess it was an anomaly.

I'd hate to have to pull some of my video offerings but I will if my credits start going down like crazy.

P.S. After the new year, I might give Skrill a try. No sense waiting until the last minute in April like I did last year.
Also before someone works hard to stop them from using it.

It would appear that they changed the rules and prices yet again.

The prices seem to be back to normal and download speeds seem to be 50kb/s for free users and 100kb/s for registered.
I'm assuming the CDN credits/hotlink thing is the same because I don't want to talk to the twitter guy again.

Ah well the great speed was good while it lasted. Thanks for the about 50 movies I've downloaded in the last few weeks 1fichier.

Question: Has 1fichier been giving those good speeds for free downloaders for some time now?
Let me guess, soon after I went offline last xmas they started doing it, and now I'm back they are stopping. Is that about right?
