Up at 5 on Saturday because today Mum gets a 'permanent'.

Every 3 months she gets a 'permanent'.

Whoever named it that was unclear on the meaning?

    we and our Moms.
On Tuesday i had to drove her to her chiropody and Wednesday i had to convoy her to her Doctor.
On Thursday afternoon i had to pick her up at her senior citizens club.
And today i got my reward, she invited me for lunch to our favorite italian restaurant.

I think they were originally know as "permanent waves". My mother used to get one every now and again. This side of the Atlantic, they were/are known as "perms".

Possibly the reason they have to be renewed may be due to hair growth...

Yes, my original post this morning was a bit tongue in cheek.

My comment when driving her home about how if they added concrete to the chemicals they do it with, it would be a lot more permanent, left her distinctly unamused.

Hey somebody has to be funny in the morning; we can't all be Grumpy Gus. Those octogenarians at 6 a.m. in the beauty shop give it a good try though.

I drop her off and do her shopping then pick her back up, thank goodness.

I'm saddened about the SpaceX Crew Dragon Capsule accident. This could be really bad unless they easily identify it as something readily fixable.
Prospective paying passengers don't like seeing what they would ride in go blam. This could conceivably ruin the whole manned SpaceX program, and they were doing so great with the reusable booster touchdowns etc.

    sigh.

Just heard more news on the ART project. More of the same. It's to the point I'm tired of saying how tired I am of it.

    ART update:
    https://www.abqjournal.com/1327500/c...w-art-bus.html

We got 1 bus. Lol look at it...turquoise is the state color but on a bus...

"The rest of the fleet is expected to arrive later this year. Keller said he anticipates starting service this winter, but cautioned that providing a more specific start date “would be premature.”

Ha they've at least learned not to give a finish date on it

Just about 4 years total now, should have been done mid-2017. It's just funny now.

Yup, that's awfully blue...emphasis on the awfully part.

I think the blue is okay. It also gave me a flashback to the '80s when our
local buses were a mustard colour with a white roof - like a cigarette.
