    Stress

It's been a rough week or so for me.

My mother just had surgery, altho not the 1st time -or even the third or fourth- this time I had a bad feeling and was very worried and it took alot out of me.

Trouble with a big job none of it my fault but caught between things and it's a real bitch.

My neighbors just got a new dog and 1st thing took a week vacation and left dog with me. Very needy and neurotic little guy, cute as a button but driving me nuts in every way.
They come back tomorrow and if they're lucky the runt will be alive when they return. They will expect me to help care for him because I helped them with their old dog now deceased, I will have to tell them not to count on me for this one, and it may create a rift in our friendship. Bummer.

I'm late in some garage renovation (my own garage), supposed to be done by the time it freezes hard -tonight- and I have about a full week of work to do on it and no time to do it.

    gaaahhhhh

Somebody tell me how to relieve stress, it's to the point I'm tired and irritable.

I usually find going for a long walk without giving any attention to the surroundings around me does the trick, it's when I'm too tired of thinking and walking that I start to turn back and look around then smile to myself to get a grip on how fortunate I am at times, that's my trick bud, give it a whirl ya never know

my mood today = tired yet smiling, with a stick of Fugazi

My mood today is that of one who is resigned to fate.

As I have no fucking idea what fate has in store for me that seems pretty meaningless.

    Slightly disappointed.

I recently found out that there was a place you could get Jammie Dodgers here in Tucson, so I picked up 4 packages tonight (Burton's).
I was expecting sweet raspberry jam in the middle of two shortbread cookies.
What I got was a biscuit tasting thing with slightly sour jam between it.
While not totally unappetizing, I don't think I'll be getting any more of them anytime soon.
The kid spit it out directly and wouldn't eat the rest of his.

Either I built up my expectations too much ahead of time or the Doctor has lied to me.

    What I was expecting:

What I ended up with was:

I wonder if it is an acquired taste or did I get the wrong kind..?

You're relying on the taste buds of an alien? Remember, this is the guy who thinks fish sticks and custard tastes good.

    Today's mood: Happy.

Actually Junior and I had fish sticks and custard a while back (I had to explain that the British called them fingers and we call them sticks),
and to tell you the truth, it was better than I expected.
I wouldn't eat it all the time but it was definitely better than the Jammie Dodgers were.
Poor kid, he's not taking the news of the next Doctor well.
This is his first Doctor going away, and he's kind of devastated.

I tried to explain to him that every single Doctor that's left had fans who just thought that was horrible,
but with the new guy comes a chance to tell different kind of stories,
but as the old saying goes...you never forget your first Doctor and as Tom Baker was mine, Matt Smith will be his.

Frosty, they're crap. First time I tried one I spit it out too.
It's jam, but not as we know it. (I thought a jammy dodger was the guy wearing the raincoat on a sunny day)

My mood? slightly aggressive. (They're cookies damnit I tell you, cookies. NOT biscuits.)
