I feel for you sp. Once I had a problem like that with a supervisor. We workers, 6 of us, finally went to our division boss and explained the situation.

2 weeks later this supervisor was transferred to head a new group - # of people in this new group? One.

We then carried on without a direct supervisor, it was wonderful and we set new records in work production.

i have a badly swollen foot today and literally cannot walk, hardly slept last night because of the constant throbbing pain

and yet my mood is one of determination to make it into work today because i do not want to miss the shitshow that will ensue from the manager coming back after a week's holiday to all the ranting and complaints about his new hireling waiting for him

The digital converter box (for receiving OTA digital tv and viewing on my old non-digital tv) has bit the big one.
I love the old 13" tv I use in my shop, but I don't want to spend $50 for another converter box, they run hot and always fail.
So, I will go to Wally Mart and buy a 24" TV whenever I get the extra money. You can get a 720p one for $85-100, whereas the 1080p ones are like $135. I think 720p will be fine for a 24" tv, and a big step up from my old one...but maybe a 1080p would be better, as I use it to watch football generally.

I will go work in my shop today, but I can't watch football, so my mood is one of sadness.

I'd go with the 1080p one. I got a small 720p one here in the computer room and the picture has always been passable at best.

For $135 you have a lot of options and even bigger than 24 inches.

I'd love to put a big ol' 32" in there, but it's too big for the space I have and would be oversized for where I watch it from. I can maybe afford a decent 24" 1080p, thanks for the link and the suggestion I get 1080p, I will do so.

I just hope I get something that works; it's always a roll of the dice at Walmart.

A few of those brands I know nothing about but I'd stay away from RCA as a general rule.
I had a couple of TV's way back in the day from them that died unexpected deaths.

If it makes you nervous, get one of the "extended warranties"

The TV will only die if you don't get one.

My mom's hairdresser had hurt her foot last week and will not come in again today. I already didn't drink last night and woke up at 5:30, so I'll go and do mom's grocery shopping.
A little more warning would have been good, but the hairdresser is a very nice lady and I wish her a full and speedy recovery.
