My mood today (and parts of yesterday as well) is ill...

I've picked up some kind of virus that's kept me in the bathroom for the most part,
and has limited my eating to soup, chicken bouillon & various flavors of pedialyte.

I'm doing some much needed laundry now, after that I'll feed the kitty her milk replacer and then I'm going to crank up the AC & crawl back in bed.

    Electric bill be damned.

Me, I'm just here hanging on, it's my only place to stay at least for now, anyway...
I've worked too hard for my illusions just to throw them all away...

    Thank you.

I feel a bit better than I did at this time yesterday.
I tried a Yakisoba chicken ramen for lunch today and only ate a few bites but I finished it at dinner by adding some bouillon and a small amount of shredded cheddar.
I think my stomach didn't take to it at lunch because I usually drain most of the leftover water in my ramen and leave just enough to mix whatever flavor packet it is.

I had a really great power nap this afternoon and I'll probably finish up the laundry tonight.
That bedspread in the computer/guest room really reeks of sweat and it and the pillowcases are getting a bath.

I still feel like roadkill but I had a couple of scrambled eggs and some toast this morning, so I must be improving.
I'm going to feed noisy kitty at noon and crawl back in bed for a nap.

    Still pretty wiped out.

The worst part was the neighbor brought over Sonoran hot dogs last night and I was stuck eating soup,
and it's not like Hubby and the kid weren't teasing me while they split my two between them.

a few weeks back, i posted a message to the effect of it being time to look for a new job

the background to that was the return of a work colleague who had been with us for 6 months before chasing a promotion and moving to another branch for a further year - then we had an opening, he applied to return in his new role and was accepted

nobody else had ever seemed to have much of a problem with him before and didn't seem to have any particular concerns about his return

the end of today will mark the 3rd full week he has been back with us - here's an update of how the land lays now ......

currently, 3 staff out of 9 (he would be the 10th) have expressed a hope that he gets sacked as soon as possible - 1 other has described the days he's in as "chaos" (and this guy's job description is supervisor) - the manager, who has been on holiday for the last week, has given instructions for a notebook to be set aside for staff to write down their complaints - he has told the assistant manager that she doesn't know what she's doing, and threatened another member of staff with being reported up the chain twice for things she's allowed to do and has been doing for as long as she's been working there - the number of staff he's made physically cry currently stands at 2 - both the manager and assistant manager have already discussed his appointment as being "a mistake" - other basic failures in common sense leading to unhappy customers

    do you think he'll last?

one irony of his appointment is that he's been given responsibility for an area called "people" - this entails being in charge of motivating the staff and keeping them pulling in the same direction

right now, it all seems too much fun to worry about quitting too much ......
