this evening's mood is mildly shocked

april 14th is always the scariest day of the year for me, waiting to get an indication (on the 15th, after the new tax year begins) as to what money, if any, might be coming my way from the usual nefarious sources for the next 4 quarters, and whether i'll need to think about a part time job for the next few months

upon mentioning the fact i was waiting for a payout to my mother on the phone tonight, i was taken aback to discover that she thought i had actually been on benefits for the last x years

nice to see she's taking an interest in her only son .....

    Unhappy

    Confused and Crestfallen

Saw this on TCM today, say it isn't so, Dorothy

    The Wizard of Oz (1939)

Transported to a surreal landscape, a young girl kills the
first person she meets and then teams up with three
    strangers to kill again

My mood is a relaxed frantic one.

I managed to keep up with my TV show downloads while I was gone but I'm trying to catch up on everything else.
Today I'll do the 2GB's or so worth of nice comics released in the last week
and start on the 9GB of version one Avengers comics someone was nice enough to rip and upload, (it just 192 comic books...piece of cake. )
though I imagine I'll do those over the next week or so.

And tomorrow I'll start on all the missed porn.
My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

this morning's mood is one of cautious optimism

i've been sent a link to a zip file containing the original 1982 8 track soundtrack album to e.t. - i've found a few copies over the years but they've all had annoying imperfections rendering them unusable (for me, anyway)

to clarify, there are 8 tracks on the album, it's not an 8-track recording
