    Really kind of pissed.

I noticed that the friendly Pit Bull next door wasn't in his yard tonight, been a couple of hours since I saw him and calling him got nothing.
His owners are usually gone all weekend, and he forced the gate which had one of those swivel latches you put a padlock on and they had a wire twisted through it.
I walked the neighborhood, then got in my car and drove around a bit, can't find him so I write a note for them to put on the door, and they pull up while I'm putting on there.
They don't speak English but their kids do so I tell them about it and they couldn't even look like they gave a crap and told me thank you and went in the house,
and as of 3 hours later haven't even hopped in the car to go take a look.

I hate people that treat animals as disposable possessions instead of the family that they are.

    Sad.

One of the neighborhood cats (not any of my strays) didn't make it across the street fast enough and died on the sidewalk last night/early this morning.
I had to take two trash bags out and bag him/her up and took it down the street where there was a large trash bin to put it in.

It wasn't particularly nasty or anything, just the loss of life always bums me out.
I'd seen it multiple times in the neighborhood before, it just wasn't going to come to anyone.

    poor kitty

on a positive note, since we moved into a bigger house (huge fenced in yard) I wanted to give a pound pup a forever home for Christmas...so we took our 4 pups to visit our local shelter where we have adopted twice before and brought home another pup. Love them eyes.

Another grown kitty down the street got it this afternoon but it was a little flat and not in my yard so I didn't clean that one up.
If it's still there tomorrow I'll see if I can call the city to deal with it. It looked like it used to be a beautiful animal.

That is simply one adorable animal. Looks like a great addition to your family.

I imagine a crumb of food falling from your dinner table is not entirely
dissimilar to throwing a haunch of water buffalo into a lake filled with
    piranha.

    Irritated with myself.

Power went out for about 5 hours this morning and when I grabbed the laptop to entertain us,
apparently I didn't leave a full charge in it when I last used it 6 months ago...because it was dead.
So now today is "get the computer up to speed day and yay, I think there's a goddamn Windows 10 Creators update or two to do""
After 15 minutes, I've almost got the windows defender to quit screaming at me & updated so I can do a scan.

It's going to be a long day.

    Happy so far.

Sitting here enjoying Four Roses Yellow Label. Neat.

Enjoying the lovely warm feeling as I wait for 2018 to roll in.

Fireworks going off here and there but I'm dreading the inevitable gunfire I'll hear at midnight.

    Nervous...

I noticed a couple of days ago that I'd traveled a month into the future and downloaded something.

Now I'm wondering what was it..? Was it any good..? Did the CIA have anything to do with it..?

Do I have to download it again on the 8th so I won't rip a hole in the space/time continuum.

Or should I just tell Pond to go and put some trousers on..?
