But let me get to the point, let's roll another joint...
And turn the radio loud, I'm too alone to be proud...

still amused by the fact that i'm the only 1 at work who still hasn't had their performance review meeting

the boss must really not be looking forward to opening up that can of worms

You're the kind of corporate cog I always aspired to but never reached.

Had to order a freakin' telephone book today. They'll mail it (!!!) and if I don't get it by November 9th, give them another call.

At least the person of Indian/Pakistani descent that I talked to was nice and didn't try to tell me his name was Steve or something like that.

^ They've stopped printing them here. What are we supposed to use to hold the door open or prop up the chair with the wobbly leg? Progress? Huh!

time to bust out the "good' furniture wedges (hardcover encyclopaedias).

Was clearing out a heap of stuff a few years ago, including many
books, and all the charity shops state that they won't accept:
    - encyclopaedias
    - reader's digest
    - national geographic

The natgeo is a bit weird, but I guess if they get numerous people
off-loading their old collections it starts to add up.

Frosty mentioned it before, William Shatner goes to Space aboard Blue Origin rocket

This gets me a bit misty-eyed for some reason.

    TO BOLDLY GO

One part anxious, one part sad.

Our newest addition Cricket we snuck in to get the free spay but they keep them overnight for observation and the mother in me in screaming right now. (11 PM. Pick up at 9 AM)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One stray cat has one of her newborns on a chair out on the back porch and it doesn't look like she's coming back for it.

As small as it is and it's supposed to get down to 45F tonight so I'm not optimistic.

I don't mean to appear callous (the mother in me in screaming right now) but I just can't rescue every single one.

That's a feeding every 2-3 hours in the beginning and you eventually get a somewhat break and 4 hours might go by.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

I've got 2 wounded cats in the area. One is a cross-eyed one I've talked about before called Bandit (Has a mask. Real original name)
I can't get a good look at it but I could grab her and get her out to animal control (I've done it with her before)
It's her right eye and it doesn't look good.

The 2nd one isn't one of mine but he eats here and his face looks like hamburger meat and I can't get anywhere near him.
If I could get him in a cage, they would come get a wounded animal but this discussion is hypothetical because until he's almost dead, I'm not getting anywhere near him.
