That tumor on her side is getting worse and she's having trouble moving around.
She's mostly off of her food & I'm having to be creative and fix something she likes and she'll eat a bit of it.

As much as we'd like to have more time with her, we'd hate for it to be too long and for her to suffer.
Worse than having her put to sleep will be Baby dog wondering where his Mama went.
it's tough, but the right thing to do....no more suffering

We had a good evening tonight.
All of us loaded up in Hubby's car (with both dogs) and went to In N' Out for dinner tonight.
Got Maya to eat about half of a Double Double and we all ate out in the car in the parking lot while she barked at random strangers.
That's the hardest part of this: One moment she looks like she's on her last legs and then after laying in the sun for a while, she looks and acts as young as she ever was.

A bit worried/nervous/sad about later this morning.
I tried to sleep but only got about 2 hours before I woke back up.
I'll see if I can get back to sleep before 3 AM and get a couple more hours before I have to get up.

    No, not a bit.
Papa dog was a stray mangy poodle mix that got in the yard while she was in heat and had himself a really nice day and Baby dog looks exactly like him.
He's adorable in his own way but fugly would be the word used to describe him.

BTW: He's having absolutely nothing to do with me since I got back from the vet's.
He hangs around with Hubby and Junior and if I come in the room, he goes out the open front door (we keep it cracked so the dog(s) can go in and out)
and glares at me from the front yard and nothing short of asking him if he wants a treat will get him back in the house,
and when I give him one, right back out in the yard he goes.

I took his Mama and didn't bring her back so he's righteously pissed at me.
He'll probably settle down as he's let me love him a few times until he remembered he was mad at me and he went outside.
He slept in their box (a pet taxi in our bedroom) alone last night and whimpered a few times during the night and I spoke to him and thought I calmed him down,
but either he really needed to go to the bathroom or I made him mad because he wet all over the beddding and I had to throw it in the washer this morning.

    Just tired...
Now deep inside my wooden clock
There is a tick but not a tock
Although into the room it chimes
It only tells me half the time
