    wow ..... just wow

psg against man united tonight might just have been the most exciting match you'll see this year, even after the ajax result of the night before - if you watched it, well done you

united turned around a 2-0 defeat to win 3-1 in paris in dramatic fashion and go through on away goals with a var decision/penalty

    incredible

Sorcery. Sauron would have been proud of Solskjær. Of course, this is viewed from an impartial Liverpool fan perspective.

Sorry, Toto, the better team won over the two legs. Dortmund passed the ball very well in the first half of both games, but didn't manage to score. They faded in the second halves. Oh, well, there's always next year.

Dortmund are in good company, too.
Los Galacticos will not be in the quarter finals. Now, that is a shock, but they were well beaten; at home! I hope Sergio Ramos is embarrassed; he got himself booked deliberately towards the end of the first leg so that he would be banned for the second leg that seemed like a foregone conclusion. Ha. Don't you just love shadenfreude?

PSG will also be missing. How they managed to gift 3 goals to Manchester United at home is a mystery. Overconfidence? I don't know. Man U were well organised for defence but, apart from the goals, hardly managed to attack.

Bayren versus Liverpool looks the plum tie for next week. Nil all from the first leg. Going to be a tough one.

It pains me deeply to see MU doing well again under Solskjær. I have nightmares where Liverpool are beated by Bayern in the upcoming match, end up 2nd in the premiership, and where MU win the CL.

There is a big chance this year that a team from England will win the CL.Man City ?

Yes, you're right, of course. I had managed to blank the memory of Bailly trying, and failing, to be a right full. When he was substituted, I wondered what part of him was injured, his body or his pride.
After that, though, MU were well organised. PSG had a huge amount of the ball, but couldn't make it count. Bizarre, but interesting game.

Well, it was an easy choice for me. And the right team won. I can only imagine a similar predicament if Manchester United played Manchester United.
