After watching the first half of the match between Netherlands and Sweden it was clear for me that the team who will make the first goal will win the game or it has to go into penalty shooting.
I don't would put my money on the Netherlands for the final.

BTW It was announced that all 18 home games from Bayern Munich for the next season are already sold out.

So you're paying for games you don't want to see, just to be able to pay for the ones that you do want to watch..?

    That seems fair.

i see alex morgan has played the sexism card over the criticism she has been receiving for her goal celebrations

i'd be more concerned about the ..... ahem, over-exuberance during the thailand match, but i'm never one to agree with throwing out accusations of some ism or other in an attempt to embarrass people into silence

this one will run and run .....

    Wales did too!
Just not quite with the same style that Germany did.

manchester city have been found to have "seriously misled" uefa over their sponsorship accounts and have been banned from the champions league for the next 2 seasons .....

whether this will be upheld after an appeal is debateable, but the language used to detail the ban seems quite damning

will guardiola want to stick around with no european football to play for during that spell? - will city's ageing squad be successfully rehauled if they can't attract players?

    who knows? - i don't - what am i, a fecking psychic?

harry gregg, former northern ireland and manchester united goalkeeper, died today

gregg is remembered for being united's number 1 at the time of the munich air crash in '58, when he returned to the burning wreckage repeatedly to help rescue fellow survivors

at one time voted the best 'keeper in the world, gregg is regarded as a legend at manchester united because of his heroics in munich and also the role he played in the impossibly difficult period following the virtual decimation and subsequent rebuilding of the team
