How can they not know that's sure to get you caught? How blindly dumb can they be?

    and they're teachers.
At least they don't have guns. Yet.

Caitlyn Jernner is dating a girl.

Couldn't he have done that when he, sorry I mean she, was a guy?

and if you like girls, then why.......

It's all good, I just think it's kinda funny. (haha funny).....maybe he thought lesbians were too cool and just had to become one?
Or aha, maybe he....she... - these pronouns are a bitch - always had the hots for his current girlfriend, she was a lesbian, so wtf I'll be one too?

I was thinking, as I often do, of how to make the world better. The US Healthcare clusterf... was current.

Saddened by our inability to provide affordable care I knew corruption is the problem.

It's systemic, all across the industry and embedded in our political process. Healthcare orgs. are Major political contributors.

On a whim I attempted to find out who owns the largest Healthcare Insurer organizations - follow the money. Hm. They are 'publicly owned' or 'mutual' companies; with stockholders and boards of directors.

Large stockholders (I didn't see any majority stockholders which was weird) are mostly Corporation names.
Board members are hired people, whose directors and agendas are unknown.

I have no idea who really owns and/or drives these companies.

I have spent this evening chaperoning a 'safe spaces' event at my University.
The topic of the evening was 'Gender Roles and Equality in the Modern World'
My role was not to contribute but to make sure the event was compliant with our safe spaces policies.

The evening was very quickly overtaken by a very strong feminist agenda, which is okay but some of the views expressed were really concerning, I wanted to ask our female members if the views of the students are a reflection of what most women feel or if it was (as is sometimes the case at these things) just young people being deliberately provocative to make a point about an issue.

    1. Women in modern society are routinely and deliberately oppressed by men and if you are a man and you don't think you oppress women; you do, it's just that you are gender blind to it.
    2. All men are either rapists or potential rapists who just haven't had the opportunity to carry out an attack they think they can get away with.
    3. All women are fearful of attack by the men around them and never really feel safe.
    4. Trans people can never truely be other than thier birth gender and pose some level of threat to women (this seemed to be a physical threat to some of the speakers and more of a threat to the purity of womanhood to others)
    5. The patriachy is a real tangible movement aimed at denying the rights of women (I had previously thought of it as a metaphor for the legacy of gender imbalance in societal power structures that was slow to correct itself)
    6. Modern men have a penance to pay for the unenlightened attitudes and behaviours of previous generations (a particularly angry speaker expressed this as 'the crimes of men')

In the spirit of balance, I should say that there was a male student who voiced some equally frightening views about women but I had always assumed that once his kind of idiot finally died out we would have a more rational and balanced society of true equals. I was shocked by the amount of anger (and in some cases real hate) in the room, I came away feeling worried for the future in a way that I haven't from similar debates on politics, religion and philosophy.

My questions then would be; Do all women really think as badly of us men as this? Do we deserve the stereotypes they are ascribing to us? And do we have a movement towards equality or a battle for gender dominance?
Is there any hope for us?

in the interests of equality, "all women are either rapists or potential rapists too who just haven't had the opportunity to carry out an attack they think they can get away with"

rape isn't a male only concern - lest we forget, 1 in 10 rapists are women
