Hollywood lost the plot a few years back.

They have been making bad movies faster than shit off a shovel. Fortunately, there is enough independent stuff hanging around to keep us true movie buffs happy. However, when they feel the need to remake movies like "The Taking Of Pelham 123" ... then you know right off the bat that they haven't a clue about movies.

Ghostbusters as a Chick Flick? Don't make me laugh .... which it won't .........................

Jag. (Close the Hollywood movie making machine for at least ten years ..... )

I'll at least give it the benefit of the doubt before I decided to hate it.
Seems to be casted well enough, though I would have enjoyed Emma Stone in one of the roles.

they can't make it an exact copy of the old movie - they have to mix it up a bit somehow

Melissa McCarthy would be good choice.

I don't hate it, I'm just choosing to ignore it.

I just watched the new Dino Movie ....... Jurassic Park the IV. It was a very disturbing experience, I laughed all the way through it. I suppose the worst element was the script, I thought it was extraordinarily atrocious. I won't comment on the acting though, mainly because I didn't see any. Nothing wrong with the special effects, but we have seen them all before. Time after time ... after time. As a movie of ANY kind, it stank.

The whole point of Ghostbusters was the fact it centered around nerdy guys. One of whom hoped to get laid.

A remake replacing the guys with chicks is missing the point entirely.

However, I expect nothing less of Hollywood. Next up? Adam Sandler as Norman Bates .................

Jag. (It doesn't matter how high you stack it or what colour you paint it, shit is shit.)

PS. I used to write movie reviews, had to give it up because there are only a handful of ways to write "Crap." So much for something I actually enjoyed ...........

Even the Kurt Russell version is just a remake of this one...

The Thing from Another World (1951)

As far as remakes in general go, I don't care for them but we have been treated to a good few over our lifetimes,
so I'm not going to get mad against all remakes not being remade.
Yep that is the one I was referring to. (Kurt Russell). I honestly didn't know there was another one!
    1951?1951!!?????
How fucking old do you think I am??????!!!!
