Women's final just started here on tv, neither of the players are grunting loudly even though I've heard them do it before, so I'll watch it.

    grunters .......

    personally, i blame bruce lee

i remember years old comments from lee who said his little shrieks and squeaks were designed to focus the release of energy during each punch or kick

same thing for the tennis grunters - studies have shown that a well timed "eurrghh" leads to an average 3 percent harder shot power

better keep the earplugs handy because the boys and girls on the courts will not be stopping the meg ryan orgasms anytime soon

The men's final was boring. Should have been Federer and Nadal with Fed winning. Djokovic deserved to win though, hats off to him!

Oh, and also, a few days ago, Sloane Stephens, a wonderful lady who makes no sound when hitting, defeated Victoria Azarenka, screamer extraordinaire, featured in a video by sp88 on page 3 of this thread.

    yayhoo!

Naomi Osaka def. Serena Williams in the Women's Final at the US Open. Serena was less than sportsmanlike. Sportspersonlike?

The US Open Men's Final will not be televised on free OTA tv this year.

*Edit: I've seen that it's apparently going to be streamed on Amazon Prime, which I have, but I don't see it on the Amazon site....

*Another Edit: It will stream live on Amazon Prime only in the UK and Ireland.

So Djokovic wins the Australian Open. meh. At least he beat Nadal

Federer went down in the 4th round, as he has done the last 4 tournaments.

Federer is considered washed up after this and last years' mediocre showing. He should have retired after winning the 2018 Australian Open; that would have been the Peyton Manning way of retiring - instead Federer seems to have chosen the Michael Jordan/Brett Favre method instead.

When I watch him play now I feel sorry for him. sad face.

At least youtube is filled with vids of his glory days
