wimbledon seems to have passed the uk by this year ..... for some reason

i've not watched more than 10 minutes of tennis over the last couple of weeks (the girlfriend is usually a tennis nut) and we're already talking about finals

any worthy moments of drama this time out? - who have the best grunters been?

Here, only the finals matches will be televised on the basic (free) over-the-air tv I get, so I don't know; I will watch the matches online when they get posted to youtube but it takes some days for them to be edited and uploaded there. In Federer's case I'm glad i didn't see it.

I heard the QF Nadal vs. Del Potro 5-setter was a great match but I simply can't abide watching grunting butt-picking always-make-you-wait stinking Nadal. If he is in the final I won't watch. Same with the women's final, I won't watch Serena.

Sad Wimbledon this year, for me.

*edit, if Nadal and/or Serena lose in the finals I will watch the youtube version later with glee

ah, thanks for that - i was wondering where it had got to

the anderson/isner match of yesterday showed no signs of stopping with the final set going with serve and reaching 26-24 - anderson, who eventually won, will surely be too exhausted to make much of a showing in the subsequent match

with still no provision for deciding these situations in a better way, the final is already effectively ruined - always nice to see the all england club keeping up with the times

JFC can I have some good US players to rally behind?

How did the U.S men's tennis team/program get so bad, anyway?

    That's a good question.

The reason you see so many Russians at the top? Our old friend Boris Yeltsin.

US tennis needs a Boris. We lack the good programs they have.

Also I think several possible US champions have been and are, in their rooms thumbing a game controller and on snapchat while the courts stand empty.

    Sad.

Angelique Kerber def. Serena Williams in final. However. Kerber is a 'grunter' too. I'll give it a miss.

Djokovic beats Nadal! A no Nadal final to watch tomorrow

..and I can't wait to watch Djokovic win against Nadal on youtube.
