    this just occurred to me:

    abbey = computer person
    duckie = medical(?) person
    gibb brothers = gibbs

    = NCIS?

    (I don't know any of the other characters)

    the stock characters in ncis are abby, ducky, gibbs, mcgee and tony

    the egyptian pound is known colloquially as an l.e. (livre égyptienne) which would be the current non-annoying female character, ellie

    that took way longer than i thought it would and we can now all joyfully return to our normal lives
