The afternoon and early evening was full of decent amounts of rain.

At almost 11PM, it's not raining now but the temp is 76F/24C with about 76% humidity.

My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

Does anybody know how the story really goes, how the story really goes, or do we all just hum along..?

I honestly don't remember rain in the middle of June in Phoenix. I certainly don't ever remember driving down into the Valley floor and seeing lightning from a thundercloud that had rain coming out of it. Not in June. I'm working on year 41 here now. It's just borderline weird. I read the climate outlook from the U of A CLIMAS team, they said the La Nina pattern had gone away completely. Maybe this is Baby Jesus' small amount of yin/yang for 2 summers of dust and wind and nothing else.

Looks like 102F is going to be it for the day with 106F for tomorrow.

    Typical summer weather.

Awesome turnaround from the heat, it's even a tiny bit chilly this morning.

Some more rain would be nice.

Looks like a low pressure ridge is moving across Imperial County towards SC Arizona. We have easterly winds this morning, which we don't like because New Mexico smells like old grease from people frying their chimis.

Look at the disparity of winds aloft at 40k ft and at the surface. Huge flow coming in from the Sea of Cortez or whatever we're supposed to call that body of water near Rocky Point today and not offend Chucky Sheen.

    That's actually true.

A proper summer day here - dry, clear, sunny and a sweltering 20C (70F). Shorts and tee shirt weather; but have to keep hydrated and take care not to overheat.

I'm just sitting here waiting for New Mexico to finish using that moisture so we can have some... (according to the weather lady on 4)

It's about 100F or so right now, humidity's about 14%. Not bad.

Still on the swamp cooler. We're saving those AC pennies for a nice backbreakingly humid day in the future.
