Last night it rained most of the evening. That nice light rain that doesn't cause all of those flash floods.

Baby hair with a woman's eyes, I can feel you watching in the night..
All alone with me and we're waiting for the sunlight, when I feel cold you warm me...
When I feel I can't go on you come and hold me, it's you and me forever...

Sara Smile, won't you smile a while for me?

We got a tiny bit of rain Monday, but most of it rained elsewhere.

We're getting the "maybe, it might, it's possible" runaround tonight so that means it's probably not.

The Channel 4 Head Weather Guy said that this summer was the hottest since they've been keeping records and last month was also the hottest August ever.

I don't know if he meant the station or other institutions that keep weather records.

Looks like we are getting back to the same old, same old now.

It's 42 degrees, an all-time record low for this day.

The wind blew so hard last night it stripped shingles off my house, as well as some stucco off of my chimney, now I have to get it all repaired.

    F*ck

We didn't go down that low and our wind wasn't that windy. Sorry, Bond.

I did however get up about 4 in the morning to turn the swamp cooler off because it was cold.

From those lows posted above, that might become a recent thing.

Shocking thing is 3:33 in the afternoon and I'm shutting off all of our fans and just leaving the swamp on.

90F/12% @ 2:53 PM at the airport and it was the nicest f******g day I can remember in a while.

and the diffuse lighting changes to red as you switch to silent running, submarine-style.

In the past few years, the most noticeable change to weather patterns
where I am is gale-force winds from directions it never used to come from.

I turned off the swamp cooler at 12:00 AM yesterday, back on at 11 AM and turned it off again at 1:00 AM tonight.

Temps are not too high during the day now and really low at night.

    This is very manageable.

Very much like when I lived in Houston. Whenever the temps got near 70 though, a surprising number of people would start whining about how cold it was, while I strutted around with my arms out hugging the cool breeze screaming AHHHHHHHHH_HA HAH YES!

Then I moved back to NY - at the start of Summer and had to wear a sweater for two weeks

Ha, yes I lived there too; once the high was 55 and everybody was wearing thermals and fur parkas

    Thumbs up

hey, just saying, give CA's Nuclear Winter a try with 100+ temps

would be nice to see the Sun again, and breathe the smoke air without coughing

Are you guys OK where you are? Any relief from the soot & smoke on the beaches?
