There's no way you're more likely to be struck because of your hip. It's not connected to ground and it's insulated by your body. I looked around a bit and the only way the implant could affect a lightning bolt's travel would be if the bolt were already hitting you. So stay away from flagpoles and golf courses during thunderstorms, and please don't worry at all.

Just had one of those hour long Wrath of God thunderstorms.
One of those that when it's over, if you have power, phone and internet you've won.

It's supposed to be isolated and scattered storms from here on until midnight but who really knows..?

Another Wrath of God Thunderstorm. Still in the middle of it, lots of wind, lots of water.
The Weather Channel and all the local stations says it's only until 7:30PM.

If not, it was nice knowing you.

We're fine. We just hit one small snag.

Up at the crack of freaking dawn again for my mothers' hair. Thunder is booming outside, looks like a wet one today.
That's great though, it's been so hot and humid lately I've had problems with the heat, been making me feel kind of sick having to work in it.

A light rain is going on outside but as I can see normal clouds in the distance, I think the small respite from the heat is almost over with.

There's nothing like 10 less degrees and 50% more humidity to cheer you up.

Rain's been steady but now it's Wrath of God-y with marble sized hail.
