Spring is great with getting away from winter, the uplift of looking forward to summer; but for great weather fall can't be beat here.

It's a shame it only lasts for about a month.

All this week the temperature has been around 14 or 15C day and night. Next week - all change. Night time temps due to drop to 6C. That really marks the transition; that, plus the noticeably shorter daylight.

But, winter means more rain; cooler; windier; miserabler; for days on end; AND Christmas! Thanksgiving, Hallowe'en, turkey, cake, pudding, wine, more wine.

They keep adjusting the low temp. predictions down. I'll build a frame for a tarp over the plants today so I have it ready. 36 is pretty close, will cause frost, so I'll cover them on those nights.

I can now smell the plants as soon as I open my back door, 30 feet away from them. This means the neighbors and people walking past in the alley can smell them too.

My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

Does anybody know how the story really goes, how the story really goes, or do we all just hum along..?

We haven't had the swamp on all day. Got down to 52F/11C last night.

Looks like we got up to 84F about 1 PM.

I built a frame out of old fence pickets and put a tarp over it. It works

I'll use it for the next 2 nights also, after that there's lows in the mid-40's for at least a week. This is workable, so I'm going to further investigate a heat source for when it gets really cold, to try to mature and get a harvest from all 3 plants.

    Clear and cool.

Got clear skies? The Hunter's Moon begins to wane. And the Orionid meteor shower is peaking. Saw a few 2 nights ago that were super long and bright. But at 45+ miles a second you can miss them just by blinking your eyes.
