BJB and I live in states where it is illegal to buy fireworks in the city but they sell them outside the city limits,
so they can try to pull you over when you are coming back into town and give you a big ass ticket and/or a fine for doing it.

Everyone have a great 4th of July (except Jag because he's Scottish and happiness might kill him)
and I hope everyone on the 5th has the same number of fingers, thumbs and toes that they had on the 3rd.
My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

Some requests to all American on this day:

    1. Have a great day
    2. Stay safe
    3. Wear sunscreen
    4. Please, please drink decent beer. No, Budweiser does not count. Rolling Rock, maybe. How come a huge country produces so little qualty beer? While the countries to the north and south make lots of good beer?

    Carpe diem

    Gawd, these English folk.

Enjoy the 4th my fellow Americanas and have fun.
I don't recall ever celebrating the real meaning, just in it for the drinks, food, swimming and bbq. And the time off work.
And yes Misrule, the beer was crap there until I discovered Becks. (thanks to Jag, via email) Ah.....memories.

Yes, it wouldn't be a proper American holiday without some old world beer snobbery.

why would you guys even bother with something as mundane as beer when you produce the majestic thunderbird?

Thunderbird, brown bag breakfast of bums.

On the other hand, the south does produce the finest bourbon in the world.
More preferable than beer anyday to me.

30 million bums can't be wrong.

Fun fact: I may have imbibed a bottle or two back in my extremely younger days.
