Last week, she leaped off the couch and landed with a loud thud and everyday since has gotten worse and worse.

Day before yesterday, she picked up a pink tinge in her urine and we just can't afford $1000s in vet bills, so we've made her as comfortable as we could.

She had a bit of water this morning but as of now, she's lightly breathing but not responding to any touch or stimuli.

The only thing that makes me feel better is that she had somewhat of a longer/better life than she would have if I'd let her lie outside and finish dying.

Edit: 10:38 PM: She started hacking a bit so I picked her up and but she never woke up and passed about 4:30 PM.

The dog loved her so he's brokenhearted, the big cat was a little meow-y searching for her tonight,
and our first stray (Hoppy) couldn't care less...never liked her a single bit, and considered her an interloper so we weren't surprised.

which begs the question, which one did you think looks most like boris? - the little girl or the creepy clown?

I'm having a sugar free grape Jolly Rancher and it's above average, however there is a warning not to eat too many of these, if you know what I mean...

I became interested in guitar again because of Eddie, I'm so sad he's gone.

I practiced for a long time to get this song down, finally mostly did. Thank You Eddie Van Halen.

The landline stopped working yesterday, so we called in and they got it fixed this morning.
(The weird thing was that unlike the usual pattern, the phone quit working and the internet stayed on)

The agitator in the washing machine also quit working yesterday and there's supposed to be a guy coming to fix it "sometime today."
It fills, drains and spins, the timer works...it just won't wash anything.

I know the washer's old but I'm hoping we can fix it. The cheapest washing machine Lowes/Home Depot has is still about $450.

I just installed a new thermostat cold control in my refrigerator, it works great now.
I called around to local suppliers, the lowest price given me was $109.
I got it here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075M4M3H6/ in 4 days
I was walked through the repair procedure here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39s3HaYVZrU&t=492s

My cost was $16.26. It would have cost me about $150-$200 to have a guy come and fix it. I knew nothing about refrigerators and it was a breeze, anyone could have done it.
Washers are different, big heavy and a pain to get at the stuff but I've fixed my washer and 40yr old dryer this way too.
I love being cheap and saving money. I think it comes from my father, who was half Scottish. Did you know Scotch tape was named that because it originally had adhesive only on the edges of the tape? An early user told a 3M salesman to go back to his “Scotch bosses” who were presumably too cheap to put adhesive all over the tape and make it stickier.
