I used to regularly see a recumbent cyclist commuting in morning
traffic. I can't imagine it's particularly healthy to be at that level,
    breathing in car exhaust.

My neighbor had a recumbent bike; he liked it ok but sold it because of feeling self-conscious when everyone would stare at him while riding.

Warmed up a bit of milk in a Dixie cup in the microwave and poured it in a bowl, then she lapped it up and headed for the back door to go back and play with her siblings.
There's nothing more adorable than that "See you later. Bye." look she gives just before she races off on those cute tiny legs.
To bring up that time passes whether we want it to or not, Hoppy (as tiny as she is, she's basically a half cat) had 3 kitties while I was out working this year.
As small as she was and not very instinctive, I would come home to find a dead one every couple of days.
She has one left and he/she is just completely and utterly adorable.

I tried for her being inside but the housecat that adores her doesn't adore the kitten so much, so she ignored the nice cardboard box cut out for her, with the soft shirt in it
and the two of them sleep on a small corner patch of concrete behind the bench on the back porch (at least it's warm).
She seems to doing well nursing just the one and it seems to be fattening up though I don't know if its 2 dead siblings died from lack of proper nourishment, or something else.

When we bring her in for extra wet meat, we go out and get the kitten and he's got quite a mouth on him.
Out of the 3 of them, he was the cutest and I'm glad he was also the strongest.
I hope the other two go where cute kitties go when they pass and I wish I would have had more time with them.

When it's a little more sturdier and more mobile, I'll see about some pics.

Me, I'm just here hanging on, it's my only place to stay at least for now, anyway...
I've worked too hard for my illusions just to throw them all away...

made an appointment for the doctor about 3 weeks ago - i distinctly remember having a pen and paper in hand while on the phone in order to write down the details

16:00 on thursday, 2 may ..... all good

turned up at the doctors just before the time, only to be told my appointment had been at 10:20 that morning and i'd missed it

managed to blag an appointment for then and there tho so the afternoon wasn't wasted - doctor asked that i make another appointment to come back in for a blood test

sorted out the appointment with the receptionist and made a point of asking her to write it down for me

i now have a card reminding me of my next appointment at 16:10 on wednesday, 10 may

trouble is the 10th of may is a friday so now i don't know if my new appointment is on the wednesday or friday

i can appreciate being a surgery receptionist is a tough job but what chance do us poor patients have against that???

there's probably a mundanely simple explanation... like a parallel
universe intersecting our own, right at the point of your entry in
    the appointment book.
