it's not often i get to excite a lady of the female sex these days

so, when a consultant at the haemophilia unit told me she'd been excited about meeting me yesterday because it's a rarity for someone to be on a triple anticoagulant regime, i'll take it .....

well this certainly doesn't sound like the sinister prelude to
finding yourself floating in a tank of blue or green liquid.

had my first appointment at the heart failure clinic today (i think i flunked it, my heart didn't fail while i was there)

apparently, i'm strangely healthy .... a little overweight (or undertall), but my internals are pretty good - i don't smoke, i just about eat properly enough and i'm well under a healthy drinking standard - and they're happy i'm active enough in my job, and the walking to/from it, to count as okay exercise

even my cholesterol level is low, a fact which i intend to fully celebrate later with a large spoon and a tub of "i can't believe it's not butter"

the upshot is that my heart attack wasn't caused by me being an shitbiscuit to my body, but rather because of cumulative clotting from my pre-existing arrhythmia thang

just one of those things .....

could they not come up with a better name?

and is it really necessary for them to have framed pictures of this guy on the wall?

Hello sp88. So sorry to hear you've been having heart problems. I hope you're taking care of yourself or better yet, have someone taking care of you.
It may be as you say, "just one of those things" but it's one of those sucky things. And I don't think your contract here @ Broken is finished. You wouldn't want to pay the penalty of leaving early. Plus, we would all haunt you forever and ever and ever.
Take care of yourself! That's an order. Please and thank you.

    That's the TV version.

My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC
