Yeah, it has been pretty quiet but I'm still recovering and my energy levels are way down.

Mom fell last night and thinks she broke her hip. It's the same hip she broke 20 years ago and has screws in.
Off she went in the ambulance and here we go again.

After not finding anything, they did a CAT scan and indeed Mom has a fracture.
If operable they will do so, then rehab, if not she will just be sent to rehab.
I'm really not too optimistic for her chances of making it back to independent living after this one; her mental faculties are also not up to it at this point and I was about to discuss long term care options with her, then this happened. She's going to hate and fight it.
Tough times for us all here it appears. Keep a good attitude, it helps you through the rough spots![]()
if i was a superstitious man, i'd cross my fingers that it's better news for you
but, seeing as how i went to pick up a piece of paper-card today and ended up with a weighty papercut (which later opened up all over again and bled all over my groceries at the till point of my local supermarket of choice), i'm probably going to have to limit my finger activity for this evening at least
i'll simply wish you luck in your travails - keep the faith, it may all turn out the best way available, even if not immediately obvious

I bought stronger reading glasses at the dollar store to get through my day for now.
I got a pair of 1.50's (the 1.25's I was wearing served a purpose but was a little fuzzy) to watch TV in the bedroom/computer room/living room,
1.75's to drive and 2.00's just in case there's a different range I need to see.
Still have the 3.00's for up close at the computer screen/reading nutritional info on the back of boxes.
Now I'm just waiting on the 23rd for my discussion of my labs and the 26th for my eye exam.
I did notice that one of the side effects for my lisinopril (high blood pressure meds) is blurry vision so I'm wondering if this is all because of that.
I called that network nurse again and got no help other than potentially scheduling me an appointment for a day ahead of the dates I already have.![]()
