    Snap or Glue?

Yes, i have a mouse in the house. Seems whenever we get decent summer rain there's an invasion.

Cheeky little bastidge, he likes to run up to within 10ft. of me and stand up on his hind legs and stare at me with his (or her) beady little eyes blinking at me.

Cute as it is, it's got to go. Been here just 2 days and I've already lost half a box of Captain Crunch and a bag of Wavy Lays.
I don't want to keep all my dry food in sealed containers, (I have for now) and I already know I'll be finding little tiny turds everywhere for 6 months. Unsanitary and risk of disease.

I've tried the 'humane' traps that capture without harm so I could release him into the wild while singing a round of kumbaya, but I've never been able to get one of those things to work. Serving eviction papers doesn't strike me as productive. Frosty's remaining street cats would probably do the trick, but that seems also unworkable.

So. Spring (snap) traps and glue traps are my real options. Snap traps are IMO more kind as it's blam and over, but kinda gory sometimes. Glue traps work well but it's sad seeing the little bugger all stuck.

Which would you recommend? Or possibly another method?

I use rat poison pellets. I find the most effective way is to mix a
portion in a plastic takeaway container with enough peanutbutter
to lightly bind it together (generally less than a teaspoon).

We use the glue traps with a small dollop of peanut butter in the middle but yeah, that's no fun at all going back when they are all stuck.
There's no good way to kill a mouse.

Oddly enough, even having the indoor one around has made the mice scarce around here.
We are usually good for 2 a year and 10 months in...not even one yet.

    He's dead, Jim.

I've thought about that but with my luck they'll die somewhere inaccessible and smell.

I got him with the peanut butter on a snap trap. A worthy opponent, I buried him with full military honors.

Gonna take your mama out all night
Gonna show her what it's all about
Get her jacked up on the cheap champagne
Let the good times all hang out...
