I just had to talk myself out of getting a ticket to go see the Anthony Bourdain documentary tonight.

Damn these "We want to go back to normal" movie release dates.

I guess I'll have to wait 6 months for it to come out on a streamer.

My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

Does anybody know how the story really goes, how the story really goes, or do we all just hum along..?

protip: mix a 1:1 water/soda solution and finely mist it on your
floors to get that authentic cinema carpet tackiness.

I'll have Rick and Morty up in a little bit. I have had a serious case of don't-give-a-shit-itis all morning and I apologize.

wondering whether the procedural norm translates across the atlantic upon the occasion of a staff member aggressively calling a customer at a retail establishment a "doss cunt"

    asking for a friend ......

not really asking for a friend, of course - just relishing the reaction of the idiot woman who spouted a question at me today (without an "excuse me" or "hello"), gave me about 1/3 of a second to answer, then jabbed me in the arm to get my attention - not entirely sure she was expecting the response she got but she fucking deserved it

her hasty exit left nobody in doubt that she knew she had fucked up and picked on the wrong friendly neighbourhood psychopath

Now, I'm not dinging you, as I now understand in the UK it's a much more benign and accepted thing, used commonly - I'm wondering where in the UK hierarchy of insult it lies.
I'm thinking it's maybe like calling someone a dick in the US, that's not too bad and more accepted.

What words are serious insults in the UK?

^ It's not a word I use, or even think. It would be considered a high insult in Ireland, too.
