It strikes me it's possible that about half of our elected officials, celebrities, and media stars are sitting on the edge of their seat wondering if their past sexual misdeeds are going to pop up and bite them now.

Interesting times, as the ancient curse says.

interesting that the TNG show never returned to the Mirror Universe.
Can you imagine Picard in thigh-high boots?

    Here it's $1.53 per litre.
During the holidays they will raise the price and that was the reason while i filled up now.

It's going to get down to freezing tonight (and maybe tomorrow night) so the swamp cooler has been drained and wrapped,
the water to it shut off, bare pipes touched up with new wrap and finally since I have no earthly idea if the spot where the kitties sleep offer any protection,
I turned the box my computer came in into a bed.

It was the thickest cardboard box, pulled everything out, duct taped the end up, cut a hole on the length side and put a crappy but warm blanket we have in there.
It'll be a tight fit if Mama and all four kitties get in there but it's the best we can do and I put it under a bush in the backyard.

Currently at least 3 kitties are investigating it to see if it will eat them.

    Only in my dreams.

y'often see funny pictures on the internet, where someone has bought
a cat-bed or the like, and the cat prefers to sit in the product's box.
It seems to me that there would be a market for selling a flat-packed
cardboard box, marketed as a cat-bed.

I have zero idea if any of them are sleeping in the box because if I go out there, they'll flee which will get them cold again.
Mama Kitty is sleeping on one of the front porch chairs, they're metal but they have a thick covered pad on it
and I put a couple of our rattier towels on the pad earlier so I'm hoping she'll stay warm enough.

I peeked out the front door before bed and she looked comfortable but gave me that "would you leave me alone..?" cat look.

Zero problems last night (Other than nerves on my part).
Mama stayed on the porch until after 3AM and disappeared to wherever.
Late this morning, everyone seemed to be in good shape and ready for breakfast.
Supposed to be another cold one tonight (about 38) and then the rest of the week should be in the mid 40's at night.
I feel a bit better knowing that they made it through last night with no issues.

The box showed signs of dirty little paw prints and such, but I have no idea if they actually slept in it last night or not.

They'll go wherever it is warmest for them ..... cats have pretty good instincts for keeping warm so I think they'll be OK.

38 is a lot better than here at least. Forecast here is 25 tonight and 3 to 6 inches of snow tomorrow depending on where you are. And of course it will probably be more snow that that because they always seem to get it wrong.
