ballooning looks like it could be a fun sight-seeing thing. Though,
I've inadvertantly seen one or two videos/gifs of balloons plummeting
to earth on fire, which looks less fun.

There's usually one or more crash into power lines each year, sometimes with injury/fatalities, with the attendant film on the news. You can't steer those things.
Also, once when I was in middle school a balloon landed on the school grounds and they let all of us kids out there to look at the balloon. The people on the balloon were obviously drunk, almost staggering. It was 9 o'clock in the morning.
When school staff noticed this, they hustled us back into the school.

I wouldn't ride on them, not for money.

What If & Archer are finished for the year, Heels & Lower Decks will be done next week, leaving only Doom Patrol.

I guess it's either time to or getting close to the time to go and hunt up another 8-10 episode show to post, besides CSI: Vegas.
My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

Does anybody know how the story really goes, how the story really goes, or do we all just hum along..?

Ballooners (sounds funnier than balloonists) are known for drunk in the morning because that's when they fly, they are largely wealthy hobbyists who can get away with it, and there's a tradition of champagne after a balloon flight

    https://ezinearticles.com/?The-Tradi...hts&id=4562850

And these guys took it seriously, as well as started it early. They poured champagne on a guy's head, and started chasing each other around, shaking and spraying champagne, falling down and stuff while 400 13-14 and 15yr olds looked on. We thought it was great but the teachers were suddenly all "Ok, back inside". Good Times.

maybe floating around in a giant picnic basket also helps set them off.

I went with Y: the Last Man yesterday so that will fill another 4 weeks (I think) and since the 1B season came out today, Leverage: Redemption as well. (1st 8 episodes uploading now)

If anyone didn't see what I wrote in its thread, My American Gods links are going to be reclaimed by the Internet Gods at the end of the month.
Perhaps if they finished it I would keep it, but they didn't so I'll find something else to fill that space.

No names set in stone yet but eventually I might delete a few of the older threads and fill it with something newer.

I like Lucifer but the Fox versions of it take up a lot of digital real estate, so if a year from now the numbers take a dive...I might try something new.
I haven't gotten a download of True Detective in months, Watchmen, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, The Undoing, Star Wars: Bad Batch, History of Swear Words (I thought that would do better.) Possibly the current season of Archer and dump the rest.

a night out at the theatre a few days ago to see a unique version of romeo and juliet .....

the standard prologue and the 1st scene progressed nicely as 2 of the montagu posse set up the play before announcing the arrival of a capulet rival, whereupon a glazed looking chap sauntered on to the stage with a beer in his hand and gave a hearty "what's up, motherfuckers?"

thankfully, this was a troupe of actors called shit-faced shakespeare, who perform under the premise that 1 cast member (from a total of 5) is chosen at random to drink for 4 hours before curtain up - the rest of the actors have to cope with and incorporate whatever the drunk decides to come up with

    much fun
