What would have been even more funny would be Denmark suggesting a deal could be made, but they want Alaska and maybe a part of Manhattan in return.

I think he was confused after his visit to the UK, he was hungry and wanted to buy Iceland not Greenland

was trying to find info about an old piece of kitsch and got to reading
a thing where people post about bargains they found at thrift stores.

One thing that stuck out to me was that there are a lot of people who
are apparently excited to find those sport/hiking/travel water bottles,
whereas I would be loath to drink from something secondhand where
    there is bendy plastic/rubber involved.

trying to buy greenland makes a lot of sense - greenland's ice is steadily melting away and the land underneath is rich in those minerals important to the electronics industry, and becoming ever easier to mine

with trumpelina stepping up the trade war with china, the u.s. can no longer rely on getting the best deals from china on electronic goods - anything that makes the u.s. less dependent on the next global superpower is something worth chasing, no matter how ridiculous an idea it seems at first

of course, it would also mean donnie can enjoy standing on the white house lawn telling american citizens that global warming is a really good deal for them

That monent when things suddenly make sense

I am notoriously bad at finding places, and getting lost. I have to drive to a place - if it's kinda far away, - at least 5 times before I'm confident about finding it again.
Here in Albuquerque there's a mountain on the edge of town to help get my bearings, but when I lived in Houston if I couldn't see downtown I just didn't know where I was.
Generally it's not a big problem in life, easily solved by written street directions, and long-time familiarity here makes me seldom lost now.

I just found out I may be distantly related on my mother's side to Amelia Earhart's navigator, Fred Noonan.

you need one of those rally car navigators to sit next to you and gesture
    at each turn.

At least it would be very hard for you to end up in the ocean in a worst case scenario.
