There are a lot of unhappy people around here right now....reaction is mostly WTF

Personally I'm hoping that Gettleman is George Young reincarnated and this turns out to be a Phil Simms pick. I guess we'll see.

So far I like the defensive picks. We got killed on defense last year especially in the run game. I just wish they could get an impact linebacker but they seem to be in short supply.

I wanted the Williams guy that the Jets ended up with.
I didn't want someone whose brother is famous and completely bailed on his team during an injury because he was worried about his draft status.

He doesn't fill me with the warm and fuzzies.

Broncos at Falcons tonight, Hall of Fame game. I'm excited for it

There will be the new interference replay rule this season, but it's only allowed in the final 2 minutes of each half, so it shouldn't be too bothersome. It's also for 2019 only, so if it's a disaster it's easily scrapped.

It also says this: "when it is determined that there is “clear and obvious visual evidence” that a pass interference foul may or may not have occurred." - what does that even mean?

Well, the reason for the rule was "clear and obvious” to begin with so I'm guessing that kind of foul.

Yes, but isn't it always clear and obvious that a foul may or may not have occurred?

I was trying to make a joke. Didn't work, oh well.

2 pre-season games on tonight. It's too hot to watch football, if that makes any sense.

Hell, I was there. Pre-season Ravens looking good in M&T Stadium last night. On the trek back to the truck after the game we did see a medium sized rat run across the street.

Colts QB Andrew Luck to retire after latest injury, is 'mentally worn down'.

After a lengthy battle with injuries in recent years, Andrew Luck is officially calling it a career.

The Indianapolis Colts quarterback announced that he is retiring from the NFL after just six seasons on Saturday night.

“This is not an easy decision,” Luck said after the Colts’ preseason game against the Chicago Bears, via the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. “Honestly it’s the hardest decision of my life. But it is the right decision for me.”

Luck, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, was simply “mentally worn down” after his latest lower leg injury this preseason. He said on Saturday night that he felt “stuck” in a cycle of rehab and that the latest injury had “taken my joy of this game away,” according to Garafolo. The Colts, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, had known that he was “seriously mulling retiring” for the past few weeks.

“I’m in pain. I’m still in pain,” Luck said. “I’ve been in this [pain] cycle ... and for me to move forward in my life the way I want to, it doesn’t involve football.”

    "Luck runs out"

I've always wished we could have football without the bad injuries. But you just can't. Imagine all the possible superstars we've missed because they got a knee blown out in High School.
My brother was one of them.
