Wow, I didn't expect that at all.
KC not having a TD? (Third team ever to be shut out of a TD in the Super Bowl.) Mahomes throwing so many interceptions? Mahomes being held to under 10 points and also never having lost by more than double-digits?
I certainly didn't expect the Bucs to kick so much ass after KC's defense stopped the fourth-and-one.
I also laughed pretty hard at KC getting flagged three plays in a row.
I found myself torn last night: fed up seeing TB12 win, but hoping he would to show for sure it wasn't all Belichick. The Chiefs, I'm usually wishing to lose so LV have a half chance at the division.
It's amazing what a difference losing 2 starting players from normally unglamorous positions of DT can make: you saw the Buccs just run right through the normally fairly resilient O line did to Mahomes' chance to get a good ball away. All Tampa had to do was keep Hill & Kelce tied up for a few seconds and the QB rush took care of the play. The flags seemed to only fall one way at times as well: I could see reason for a KC fan to question the officiating.
All in, it was a shame really, I'd have preferred a decent match.
