    Ncaa

While knowing little about college basketball, I know that our UNM Lobos were great this year, seeded 3rd and maybe even expected to get to the Final Four. Everybody here was just thrilled.

Then right out of the gate, opening game, we lose to a team that has never ever won a game in the NCAA tournament before. Harvard. Harvard.. I mean, those players probably like go to classes and learn things, and they smoked us like salmon.

    sheesh.

I consider all college sports to be inadequate versions of the major sports.
Call me when they get a real job.

    Stupid NCAA!

As an addendum to my 1st post here, we not only lost in the first game, our coach is now absconding to UCLA after signing a 10-yr contract with us. That bastard! He'll make maybe 2$ million more/yr and be at a much better college, but so what! Our high hopes for UNM sports have been cut off at the knees. People here are shocked and walking around mumbling to themselves. Or maybe that's just me. lolz

In addition, adding insult to injury...

I'm a tennis guy, play it twice a week and love watching it on tv.

Watching the 1st real tournament of the season on CBS, I was into it, Andy Murray and David Ferrer for the Sony Championship. it was back-and-forth and very exciting. Right when the 3rd and final set ended in a 6-6 tie and the tie-breaker was starting, CBS cut away to......

    You guessed it!

    Gah!!

Ordinarily I would go for the underdog without question. Thing is, they're going against my last surviving Final Four pick. Bummer.
