But if Trump can't win an election and once he loses he is likely to go to jail; don't you think that might be a reason for him to find a pretext to cling on to power.
You need to go back to your history books and realise that it is a lot easier to let a despot into power than it is to get them out of power again.
Most of them do come to a sticky end (just deserts) but they do a lot of damage before that happens
