^^^^Compared to being hospitalized for almost a month and being constantly on oxygen (like it happened with my older Aunt), I wouldn't say it is that terrible.
My father's got flu-like symptoms, after the 2nd shot of the Pfizer vaccine. But it only lasted a day.

I know a lot of people, here in Sicily, already did the Astrazeneca vaccine. And most of them felt just fine.
Some others are still very skeptical about it (it's their decision).
I think the problem is that many people believe too much on what they hear and read on Social Media, instead of hearing what true professionals and specialists say.

Thankfully, I no longer have a social media account since a decade. So I don't have to read the bullshit that extremists and other crazy misinformed people put on FB or Twitter.
But some people DO take everything they read on there very seriously. And that it's definitely scary, if you think about it.

The debilitating pain my mother said she felt in her shoulder after her 2nd vaccine shot was a large factor in her death; although it was just one more thing on top of other fatal problems and may have hastened her passing instead of it being a longer more drawn out thing.

This was after she tested positive for covid at an earlier time and had no symptoms.

I'm still trying to come to terms with that.

Had my first dose of AZ - followed by a couple of dud days; nothing too bad except an industrial strength headache and feeling lethargic. Seems to be ok now, though.

many weeks since my 1st shot, 11 days away from getting the 2nd .....

off to the hospital later today, on doctor's orders, to get a more comprehensive covid test after showing a few symptoms

remember: the jab won't protect you alone, you still need to mask up and distance

hopefully 'more comprehensive' isn't medical jargon for 'using
a cannon ramrod for taking the nasal swab'.

There are other orifices from which to take a swab...

needles and blood don't bother me so we both had a chuckle at the mess caused

but all clear on the ol' corona

nevertheless, haven't been able to breathe properly for about a week now - difficult to catch a breath or even get a whole sentence out in conversation - the current working theory is that i've had a sudden outbreak of asthma, which i've never suffered from before, and might need an inhaler from now on

i didn't even know you could just suddenly get asthma later in life but there you go

the upside is i've finally scored an exemption card so i don't have to wear those damned facemasks any more

^ not asthma - being told now it's water/moisture in my lungs

    so ........ technically, i'm drowning??

as of 30 minutes ago, 2nd astrazeneca jab duly administered

took longer to negotiate the car park than it did inside the building getting the damn thing - they've got it down to a fine art
