Thank you Frosty, it's my fault for not titling this more clearly.
I'm ok to have this be a discussion of current game of thrones too.

Or would it be proper to make a thread about current GOT? I will blather on in this thread about season 1 and so forth continuing , while mixed in would be season 8.

s01ep4 Cripples Bastards and Broken Things.

The planets are properly aligned (I have time, beer & weed) so I'll watch this now, much fun!

I hope it's less depressing than the title suggests.

A horrible curse on King Robert and his venomous nest of vipers. gah.
Ned's advisers make my skin crawl eew
Ned and his boys should just wipe them all out right now and say The End. I'd be ok with that. hell I'd participate

This should be good summertime viewing judging by how they're talking about the upcoming winter.

"Start the damn joust before I piss meself"- I'm glad jousting isn't around anymore after seeing that match.

Whoa right at the end it doesn't look good for the little funny guy, does it. hehe

in all honesty, this thread is reminding me of things i'd forgotten from the early days, or at least the chronology - i like the idea of a thread following the saga in order from season 1 onwards

if bjb gets through it all quickly enough, he can release his thoughts as a book to accompany the last throes of the current series

...... or the horribly rehashed sequel show in 10 years after disney buys the rights

I thought about that, but the last episode is in 2 weeks, I'd have to watch 5+ episodes a day to finish at the same time as you guys. That much bingeing and I'd be a gibbering loon.
One a day is probably the average. That will go into July, maybe even August. The perfect summer fare, especially since they're all freezing ass now.
This is fun, I'm glad I decided to watch it.

*one more observation from ep04, I look forward to seeing Sam become a brave man and a credit to Night's Watch under Jon's tutelage.

Alright, at least the prior seasons were quite impressive productions. So he has many hours of delight before him.

on a completely separate topic, does anybody want to buy a second-hand t-shirt with a picture of a sleigh labelled "rosebud" on it?
