For the second year in a row, New Mexico ranks No. 1 in childhood hunger.

For 45 years a broken pipe leaked jet fuel into the ground at a site approx 2mi. from my house.
The plume from it has been found 500ft from the well that serves our VA Hospital.
It's now 'estimated' to be 24 million gallons, twice the Exxon Valdez spill, and has migrated off the AF base grounds.
The chemicals involved are persistent and incredibly toxic.
Discovered in 1999, -actually in 1993, but the AF denied it for 6 years- next to nothing has been done to clean it up in 15 years.

As much as I could use it, I'd rather not grow an extra head.

"There's a darkness upon me that's flooded in light.
In the fine print they tell me what's wrong from what's right.
It comes in Black and it comes in White and I'm frightened
by those who don't see it."
They're frickin' everywhere. Almost biblical.

this disturbs me it's so senseless.
It's true, in our society we have to be afraid of children.
Theft is such a problem here it's ridiculous. I hate thieves.
