have you tried jdownloader? I have always resorted that with this
host, as it has never allowed me to click through on the site itself.

    No, that doesn't work.

I was told to install opera because it has a VPN but no, just no.

I was also told elsewhere that the excuse being used is that they were having "problems with the government" and yet it seems that having a premium account will fix the problem.

I can live without it but there a lot of TV/movie sites that will still have a working Uptobox link long after everything else is dead, so that sucks.
My HEVC/H.265/x265 videos can be played with either VLC or MPC-HC

I've never been able to dl from uptobox, my download manager (IDM) seems to interfere with it even when disabled and it gives me the '2 dl requests' business.
i would temp remove IDM and then try it, or use Chrome, but I've always been able to get the stuff from other hosts.
Have you tried another browser? I think I remember using Chrome once and it worked, that may be the reason I started this thread, too.

It is. VPN will bypass it.

I bet Trump himself visited Uptobox HQ in order to make a great deal. Unfortunately, I just extended my premium for a year. If I knew about his I would probably go for another mirror host and remote upload files from 1fichier.

Though if Jenny is correct, and she usually is, a simple add on in Chrome might solve the problem. I have "touch VPN" installed. But there should be other similar programs.

I have the iNinja VPN extension for Chrome. It's free and works just fine with uptobox as long as you pick the non US servers.

I'm allergic to Chrome so I just went with the opera and it's VPN even though it's really just a proxy.
I haven't used it yet but the link showed up after I logged in (before that I got the you must wait 1 hour and "blah, blah, blah" message)

Honestly I didn't even now Uptobox had done this until I repeatedly got "file deleted" warnings in my email.
I guess when you banned an entire country the size of the US, not premium files don't get as many downloads.

Opera's VPN is encrypted and connects to their own VPN servers so it's true VPN, not a proxy. I just downloaded one of kogi's uptobox files as a free user and got 1.2 MB per second with Opera using VPN.

Download count is way down on all my files too even though my account is premium. People are just not bothering to find ways around the block.
