Turnout was around 50% and 3-5 hour queues to cast a vote is the norm. Just seems weirdly inefficient having to sacrifice a day to vote. In the UK you can get it all done in 2 mins (no queues) and you're never more than 1 mile from a voting station. But to be fair the postal voting isn't trusted as much here as it's often lost on route or not counted due to late delivery.

The Republicans kept a slight majority in the Senate, and the Democrats made gains and took over the House.
It'll be the logjam scenario with possible attempt(s) to impeach Trump.
It may be a decent outcome, as I get nervous when either party has control of government.
